So I was only going to watch 1 episode of this show and then head to sleep. Well 4 episodes later I said..."I mean there's only 6 episodes and I made it this far". This show was AWESOME and goodness gracious did Sofia Vergara kill this role, I'm going to be as bold to say that this is the ladies version of Scarface 100% (finally we got one lol). Understand, I am a woman of God and in no way condone anything that was happening in this show but yeah sometimes we need to see this stuff. *TOP PICK*

This one is a bit of a throwback but man when these vampires took over NYC in a covert but insane display of terror it was everything. I was obsessed with this show and thought it was incredibly well done but I mean it's Del Toro so that is not the least bit shocking.

Lessons in Chemistry

Brie wins YET again with this fantastic tale of a woman in her intelligent essence, running laps around men who think she's just not fit to be a chemist. Belittling her abilities but still knocking it out the park when it comes to life, love and anything else they want to throw her way Brie is not only charming in this role but completely compelling. Ladies this one is certainly another triumph for us or for anytime anyone ever made you feel less then. Go Brie!
The Fall of the House of Usher

Sooooo let me understand this correctly; The Devil simply wants your soul but the Raven, she wants your entire bloodline? Well leave it up to a woman to out-do the devil! Mike Flanagan always brings his A game but this one was outside of the alphabet spectrum in glory. He brought in some of his best cast members from all of his different shows and Doctor Sleep to give us a symphony of horror that only he can masterfully tell. Fusing all the best Edgar Allen Poe tales into a modern horror delight, I mean at this point I don't know if this man is even capable of failing on any level. Bravo on this one....on par maybe slightly passed The Haunting of Hill House and Bly Manor for me.

I'm already a mega Godzilla/Kong fan so bringing the Monarch story to television is long over due. Taking a page out of Marvel's successful books, bridging tv and movies can prove to be incredibly fruitful and does great justice to fans. Personally I want to see the 2014 Godzilla cast (Elizabeth Olsen, Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Bryan Cranston) team up with the newer Kong cast (Tom Hiddleston, Brie Larson and crew) along with the cast from this series in Godzilla/Kong's new movie but I think it may be to late for that request. Regardless the whole show and movie franchise is going in a beautiful direction and this show just adds to that. Do not expect what you would get from a movie in the series (lots of monster action) that's just not realistic and what the show is for. The show highlights how Monarch started and where it's going/fits into the Monster-verse today.

When Covid hit everyone was trapped in their homes, which may have worked well to this shows advantage. I loved this show for the hip-hop lover in me and I appreciated the well selected judges for this one. However to me the best highlight was the talent that was showcased on this show. Make no mistake, Diddy started the 'Hip-Hop' band search years ago with 'Making the Band' but this is certainly a treat for this generations audience. I know there was a new season in France but I would not be opposed to a second American version.

Elizabeth Olsen can do no wrong to me no matter what movie/show she's in and her being a curious house-wife was very intriguing. Her role in Wanda-Vision certainly prepped her to be the perfect fit for this role but the deathly twist, her quirky charm and a touch of innocence put the cherry on the cake.
Boys & Their Toys Edition
Although I am lightly a tom-boy, I'm not exactly a Metal Gear Head. Cars have never been a huge interest to me but I can appreciate a classic beauty. Renner & Downey were able to capture my interest (Renner with his awesome flip concepts and Downey with his infectious personality in anything he does). However the starting point of guys who have an excellent eye for good quality junk has to start with The Pawn Stars. I always loved this show and some of the items that people brought to these guys to sell and the older/cooler the object the better. Regardless of if i'm catching a glimpse of Lincoln's long lost cuff links or seeing a camper van turn into a music studio, I always enjoy appreciation for the classics in life.
The Adult Supervision Division
So yes, I promised myself I would always keep it classy on this blog and filter out the filth...but every now and then in life; adult supervision is required. If I had to pick my top 3 favorite filth it would be the 3 from above. Fleishman has Jesse Eisenberg playing a delightful dad who's trying to figure out his life after divorce. Dave has a white-boy rapper who all of a sudden wants to find the love of his life after being sick of "that life" and Orange is the new Black got me through my entire life in NYC/NJ with crazy lesbian jail antics and escapades. My top pick and starter of the 3 would be Orange because while it is raunchy, the cast of ladies did a fantastic job opening their prison cells to show us what life was like for them in a female prison system. Lots of laughs, realism and many touching moments that deserves a standing ovation even years after it's over.

Carrie Bradshaw is a name that will live on like Marilyn Monroe long after life has moved into the new century. I don't care what age, race or generation it is; what the name of the show is or if it's in Movie or TV form...women want Carrie! Sex & the City was one of the best shows to hit television years ago for it's raw, real and fashionably fabulous nature and there isn't a single mother or daughter who wasn't interested. One of the best dressed ladies in history I will always want to see what Carrie and gang are up to (Charlotte also being one of my favorites) and we can all only hope that the legendary Samantha will make an appearance sometime soon.....
They Cloned Tyrone

Retro, weird and hood all wrapped into one ridiculous ride. It's a fun satire about all things you shouldn't feel but you absolutely do with a splash of feeling and realism. I enjoyed it and questioned it all in the same time-frame.
Bates Motel
If you've ever been to Universal Studios Hollywood you will recognize this infamous house on the 'Studio Tour'. Not only was this one of the most successful horror films in it's day (Psycho) but this series also made it one of my favorite streams when it was released. Freddie Highmore & Vera Farmiga (one of my favorites) make a deliciously evil and equally frightful team with this mother/son duo and every season was better than the last. Check-in to one of the most beloved Motel's in horror history and enjoy the maternal ride.
