Double Feature
The Passion of the Christ

Eden

April comes as it does every year but nothing about the time of worship and remembrance changes. The Passion of the Christ shows the most pivotal moments in Jesus crucifixion in the rawest way possible for true meaning and impact. The moments of betrayal and doubt cloud even the strongest of man in this powerful story of the son of God's last days on earth (before his return). This one is difficult for me to watch as it would be for any person of empathy and faith for how our savior was treated by those whom he was sent here to save. An important message is certain to be resonated after experiencing this monumental film. Taking it back a little further in time I deeply loved this modern day depiction of the story of Adam and Eve. Ron Howard brought us a true story version of a couple who decided to start their own 'colony' of life if you will on a remote Island during the war and it does have many similarities to the story of Eden from the bible. It shows how humanity operates when all they have is the land, God and each other. It shows the resilience of man but also the ways that evil can creep into the mind to pit man against his brother and woman against her sister. Both films bring us a modern take on impactful biblical stories.
Streaming Picks
Wild Vacation Rentals
HGTV/HBO Max

Aside from the fact that Sherry Cola is part of my viewing history/life and is totally killing it right now, she had to pair her next venture with one of my favorite shows/concepts: Viewing other people's homes. I watch House Hunters every single night faithfully and well my business specialty is vacations (duh) so of coarse I'm all for any show that fuses those together with a stellar cast list to make the escapades even grander. I'm excited to see some of the homes/rentals that these two discover on their journey.
His & Hers
Netflix

Besides the fact that I absolutely loved Thompson & Bernthals chemistry and tension in this series it was very nicely designed. Being #1 for multiple days doesn't just happen out of nowhere unless you have an absolute thriller/banger on your hands. This had a double twist and I was able to get the first one (not easily might I say) but the second one was even better and the entire cast as a whole did a great job bringing this one to life.
11-22-63
Netflix

If you need a good excuse (or closet) to travel back in time to the day Kennedy was shot this Stephen King banger is sure to please that itch. James Franco is fantastic in this show and the way they shot this (more so the sequence of events than anything visual) was very well story-boarded. The 60 yr old man that lives inside of me absolutely loved this show.
Margot's Got Money Troubles
Apple TV+

Looks to me like Margot had a plan, a future and then a baby. This show is based off the best selling novel which no I did not read but Elle Fanning can act it out for me as I always prefer the cliff notes version. Stellar cast and a pinch of emotion, desperation and diapers and you have a series that has Ashley's attention.
Imperfect Women
Apple TV

This has to be one of the best cast gatherings of 2026 tv because every single person I saw in this lineup belongs in this web of chaos. This is a true depiction of what female friendship can actually look like outside of the smiles and social media posed bonding. The secrets kept, the images to uphold and the truth being held looks like all the taboo topics this show has cooked up for a look at Imperfection in the gal group.
The Testaments
Hulu

The Handmaid's Tale was one of the best/most successful shows to spawn from Hulu (like OG Hulu) so tapping into Chase's talent coming from One Battle After Another was a perfect decision. The show itself looks incredibly inviting and I'm a huge advocate for the sisterhood of anything so I'm very interested in watching these young ladies tell a much needed story.
Upcoming/Current Movie Picks
You,Me and Tuscany
April 2026

Adorable rom-com written all over it with the young Hollywood goat herself Hailey front and center. My niece also wants to see this which may be a little alarming for a 7yr old who knows nothing about this kind of love yet but hey who better to teach her right? Also anything highlighting Italy and the masterpiece of a country that it is I'm on board for.....oh and I know, I know...The Bridgerton guy right?.....
The Mandalorian & Grogu
May 2026
I-MAX / 4DX / Screen-X Worthy

As an OG Baby Yoda (aka Grogu) fan this movie is WAY overdue but still somehow properly placed on the timeline. I don't know if there is a human being out right now working harder than Pedro Pascal's agent but if so I'd like to meet them. More than just wanting to see this film I will absolutely be taking my entire family (my one niece was baby grogu in human form when she was little) and further more anything less than I-Max or 4dx is an embarrassment to cinema for this one.
The Drama
April 2026

The fact that Zendaya has this and Euphoria season 3 lined up for the same month is exquisite for us who just love her drama, be it tv or movie form. Oddly enough the real her is so graceful and poised but when we see her in roles like this it just shows you what good acting is all about.... from drug addicted teen, to terribly flawed future wife.... Im just here for the Drama.
Michael
I-MAX / Screen-X Worthy
April 2026

Not sure I need an entire paragraph for this one but knowing me expressing my sentiments towards this film/artist I'll get there unknowingly. When Michael passed I remember being utterly depressed for like 2 months+ and even still to this day this man's legacy and overall presence is immeasurable. I can't even imagine how much I will be singing along to this film...hell they may even need to do one of those sing-a-long screenings for this one but I am so seated for this. There are a few dreams cameos I would love to see with Chris Tucker being one of them and if they show some real footage along side the film of Mike I know it's going to crush me. This one is going to be huge and I mean HUGE for cinema and the Jackson family.
The Breadwinner
May 2026

Spoiler Alert: Shark Tank is my favorite reality show on television and I have a special treat for that category coming later but if it needed to be transformed into a film....this is exactly how I would want/do it. Kevin O' Leary did a great job switching his hat from business man to actor in Marty Supreme and I need my favorite shark Lori up next to bat. That factor aside, Mandy Moore playing the ambitious entrepre-mom and this dad doing his best to support her venture is a recipe for complete laughter and just the film I would be looking for. If I were a shark in the seat I would absolutely offer them a deal for this movie.
Super Mario Galaxy
April 2026 *IMAX/4DX Pick*

A studio that truly did justice to the franchise I absolutely loved the first one and it smashed the cinema records in 2023 which it will no doubt do again. I love Super Nintendo World at Universal and if they are planning an expansion or needing to add to an already awesome part of the theme park this would be a great way to do it. I know Universal I've asked so much of you with a Wicked add-on and i'm sure there will be other requests but a Galaxy add-on ride or section looking exactly like the photo above is something I now can't get out of my head.
