Live Performance Line-Up
Welcome to the Childhood Neighborhood

You know that movie that your sibling or cousin or best friend insisted you watch as a kid because you're 8-12 years old and it's so relatable and relevant to how life actually is at that very point in time? That was how we felt about these films in the 90s, so 2000s babies you're going to have to compile your own fricken list of films that made you want to stay home from school on a snowy day and eat a grilled cheese and tomato soup.

Staying Hungry for the Holidays
Prepare those tastebuds because this fall we are headed to the Wine & Food Festival of film! Starting with The Menu, I'm pissed I didn't see this when it originally came out (blame that on Ashley's delayed gratification syndrome). I adored this film and Anya Taylor Joy is one of my favorites so of coarse her blah blah nonchalant view of this exclusive Islands delicate delights made for an entertaining watch. Not gonna lie kind of wish this place was real (i'm sure it is i'm just not invited...yet) ,minus the killing of coarse, outside of that factor Ralph Fiennes and cast really served up an exceptional performance with this one. Scurrying over to Paris, we have a witty and talented Rat who truly knows how to serve up a delectable dish with Ratatouille. I have to add, that this ride at Disney's Epcot is one of my absolute favorites because it really feels like you are in the kitchen with Remy. Yet again I'm a little upset with myself for not seeing this one sooner because it would have hands down made my list as one of my all time favorite animated films and there's rumors of a sequel brewing in the pot. I hope we get to see Remy and gang again because this film was delicious on every level! The moral of this month's double feature picks? Everyone Eats :-)
Streaming Picks
Black Rabbit
Netflix

Jason Bateman (my favorite!) is back in action with this crazy but thrilling drama about 2 brothers who can never seem to catch a break. Set in a trendy Manhattan, high class restaurant, Jude Law is just trying to run a reputable joint but Jason won't let him have a smooth ride in his journey to entrepreneurship. May take an episode or 2 to get you going but once you start you find yourself going through the entire series in 1 day like I did....plus the ending!!
Echo Valley
Apple TV+

Not going to lie, Sydney Sweeny made me absolutely hate her character in this movie which is a huge measure of great acting. This story is about a mother and daughter who just can't seem to get on the same page, which eventually becomes a deadly mistake. This one was particularly interesting to watch because the lead actresses (Julianne & Sydney) really do a great job getting you invested in the story and thinking "I would never, ever treat my mother like that" yet somehow also making you think "What level of love is to far to go for your own child". Julianne suffers a severe level of mental abuse from her own child and it truly breaks your heart to watch the story.
With Love, Meghan
Netflix

A modern day Martha Stuart is CRUCIALLY needed in this generation of AI and Social Media. Watching a woman who truly cares and has a passion for home economics 101 and keeping her family healthy and happy through good food and creative home practices is such a breathe of fresh air. Meghan's aura and show is so warm and inviting and is exactly the best thing to watch especially during the holidays if you want great tips and tricks for the heart at home.
Tucci in Italy
Hulu

Stanley Tucci is one of those actors who has 0 haters and gives you all the feels (acting, documentary or anything he's involved with). Lucky for him, everyone can't get enough of Italy (trust me if you've been there you'll completely agree) so who better to present some of the best foods in town than a hometown guy? Tucci stops at some of the best/his favorite places in Italy to get the lowdown on what food is made, ingredients used and the love/family that goes into preparing those dishes. The show is delicious to watch and wonderfully illustrated by one of our favorites :-)
All's Fair
Hulu / FX

Dammit Ryan and Kim why would you wait so long to give me this! This trailer was absolute fire and this cast just lights up the entire package. I really only needed Sarah Paulson and Teyana Taylor to call it a winner but I must say this entire cast is a complete gem and Ryan Murphy could make a show about dog sh*t and it would win an Emmy. This is likely a top pick in streams for me and I'm All In for Alls Fair.

Our favorite magic team is back up to no good but this time they brought in some young recruits to help them with the heist. I highly enjoyed the first film and Isla Fisher/Jesse Eisenberg played a huge role in that level of satisfaction. This one looks just as diabolical as the first and It seems like we get a female James Bond type as our target mark so i'm interested in seeing how that will play out.
Predator Badlands
*Top Pick* - IMAX / Screen-X / 4DX worthy

I need to start with mentioning how much I ADORED Predator Killer of Killers (that sounds so awful but everything about that movie was perfectly on point). I loved it so much so, that I'm hoping (but fairly confident) that this follow-along the franchise film will also blow me away. The trailer was an absolute symphony of what I would want in a Predator film and the Alien franchise is on fire right now so if both film segments can stay aligned I think we will have an absolute winner cross-over yet again. This looks like it will be necessary in I-MAX / Screen-X similar to Kong x Godzilla.
Bugonia
October 2025

The belief that a powerful, smart and educated young CEO woman is actually an alien here to conspire against the human race? Yeah this has my kind of movie dripped all over it. This trailer was enough to get me on board but the addition of Emma Stone makes for a must watch.
Sarah's Oil
November 2025

The heart of this trailer alone roped me in to wanting to cheer on this brave young lady. A young girl who has the rights to a land that naturally adults around her want to take, has to put up a brave fight and brave face to get back what is rightfully hers.
Eternity
November 2025

Elizabeth can do no wrong for me and I love the premise of the film, more original stories/content is craved by the public...myself included.
Five Nights at Freddy's 2
December 2025

I claimed the first one as a top pick and it over-performed (thanks for that win team lol). Thankfully this one is not streaming and in theaters at the same time (despite that it still did exceedingly well) but I just love the premise for this movie so much that I want it to have it's full theatrical release glory. Granted, I will admit, I still wish it had a bit more of a rated-r target (more blood/gore and closer to a new aged chucky audience) but being teen/kid friendly may have caused it to be more successful. I say that to say if they want to keep it PG and it works I'll support regardless but these animatronics have haunted my nightmares in all the best ways.
