Rock The Kasblanca

In all transparency this is a blog post for a division of Morocco that was visited back in 2018 so it's almost approaching it's 10yr anniversary at this point in life. By 2028 this will have been 10yrs ago but as usual with my travels I remember it like it was yesterday. In 2027 the plan is to visit a different part of Africa but that will be another story for another Blog Post. Yes I am very aware I spelled Kasbah and Casablanca wrong but I fused them together to make for a cuter title (that's my story and I'm sticking to it). I never got the chance to deep dive into the outer-skirts of my visit from Marrakesh and I wanted to take that opportunity to sing their praises here. If I am picking one district over another (as they are only about 30 mins apart) I would put Kasbah over Casablanca depending on what you're doing and looking for on your trip. Kasbah has some of the most lux stays and desert hang-outs I've seen in the world. Their Riads and overnight locations are desirable for any traveler looking to do any desert excursions. We stayed at the [Members Only Location] and had some of the most gorgeous views and amenities that one traveling to Africa could want and I will say the vista will remain in your minds and hearts forever. Driving about 1 hr down will bring you to Casablanca and depending on which part you end up can determine your view on the entire vista itself. For me, it felt like a beautiful beach-town in one of the big American cities like Malibu or any Florida Beach but it did have a bit of old school lore. In my mind the most picturesque way to enjoy Casablanca would be comparable to a movie where you dates on the top of desert building and enjoy tea but I would actually say that Marrakesh was where that experience happened. Casablanca was very modernized and if you are looking for a more upscale experience the [Members Only Location] was no doubt where you will get that. The highlight for prayer and reflection will be the most famous mosque in Morocco which is The Hassan II Mosque and it is as structurally beautiful as any photo will show you.

General Consensus: Kasbah and The Sahara Desert will be the main places you want to go during this trip I can assure you of that. Casablanca makes for an amazing lux weekend or 2-3 day stop. While making that stop the Mosque is a must but mainly the first 2 parts are going to be your entire focus for this part of Morocco.
