Ash in Anguilla
Ok cruising back to 2026 this is an Island I experienced during the summer and my oh my was it absolutely stunning. Make no mistake, St Maartin is my family homeland and it will have my heart long after I am gone from this earth but the fact that this Island is only a 30 min escape from here makes it that much more alluring. The Ferry situation is very organized but still a little daunting if it's very early in the morning so my suggestion would be go in the afternoon or get a private charter if you have that option. I would also say never return on the last Ferry because wondering if you're even going to get a ticket for it has to be the most nerve wracking thing on the planet. Outside of the headache of actually getting to the Island (which honestly can be stressful for any remote-esque Island) once you are there it is literally heaven. There are 2 hotels [Both Members Only Locations] that I would only choose and 1 of them was where we had the most amazing brunch with incredible views and a spread you will never forget. From the pools to the rooms, the bars and the beaches you may forget you are on planet earth in these locations which is totally fine by me. One of my fabulous travel agents booked us a rental car which I would say is the best way to get around and we found ourselves arriving at the best day party on the Island at [Members Only Location]. Here you can indulge in delicious food and cocktails, book yourself a daybed with friends along the perfect and pristine beaches or enjoy the shopping and live music all which this particular party provides. Lastly we went to what felt like a private beach and there was maybe 1 other person in one of the most gorgeous bodies of water I've seen since the Mediterranean. This beach will remain undisclosed my friends but if you drive along the Island you will find a few of these sandy gems.
General Consensus: Gather the crew and prepare for one of the most relaxing and lux vacation. Anguilla IS IT!
